IMG Weddings is a wedding photography and videography team based in Jamaica. We photograph destination weddings on the Negril cliffs, around Montego Bay and across the island, and we hand-finish every gallery.

Photographing a wedding here is mostly a problem of light and timing. Between roughly eleven and three the sun is straight overhead: white dresses blow out, dark suits go flat, and everybody squints. From about four o'clock the light turns, lengthens and warms, and the same ceremony lawn becomes a different place. Knowing which half of the day you are standing in is most of the job.

The rest is watching. The best frames are rarely the ones we asked for — they are the father who turns away from the crowd, the bridesmaid fixing a hem nobody noticed, the two seconds before a couple realises they are being photographed again.
